Dr. Craig T. Layman, director for workforce development with Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education, oversees one of the most compelling and extensive suite of best-in-class workforce development programs for the Department of Energy and other federal agencies related to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). He leads efforts to create and implement the STEM workforce development strategic plan, executes the strategic vision, and oversees management and administration of over 100 postdoctoral fellowships and research internships sponsored by DOE, DoD, FDA, CDC, USDA and several other federal agencies.
